Chelsea and Ian got married on 10/28/2018 at Chapel Dulcinea outside of Austin, Texas.

They had a marvellous DIsney theme to the reception, with an “UP” cake I will never forget!

I used several canon and sony cameras, tripods and a slider.

This is a wedding video I shot ( but did not edit) Sept 29, 2018.

I shot this as a freelance gig for another company (Classic Photographers) and they edited the footage.

I’ve shot so many wedding videos, I wasn’t even sure I did this, until I saw myself in the footage!

Removing the photographer from a wedding video with Adobe After Effects.

The Photographer followed the bride down the aisle taking pictures.  I wanted the footage withOUT the photographer in it.

I brought the shot into Adobe Effects.
I placed a piece of video that didn’t have the photographer UNDER the footage with the photographer. Then I used the ellipse tool to mask the bride and inverted it…. so that the bride was floating over footage with out the photographer.

Then I added an ADJUSTMENT LAYER with auto color and brightness / contrast…

then I added a second adjustment layer and played with the HUE& SATURATION to make the footage look better,

The video is also slowed down 1 percent ( Time stretch 101%) and converted from 30 frames per second to 23.97 frames per second,  to make it look more “cinematic”

Shot with Canon Cameras. Video editing done in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.

Heavy rains in San Antonio that day couldn’t dampen anyones spirits. The ceremony was moved inside.

 

A live violin duo provided the music.   A Dj provided the music at the wedding reception.

Michelle and Randee got married on Nov 11, 2018 at the Hill Country Hyatt in San Antonio, Texas.

 

It rained that day so they had to move inside to “The Pavillion”.

 

 

This is the first rough cut of their ceremony. A different version with more camera angles and better color correction and sound levels is coming.

Last minute wedding video

I got a call just 2 or 3 days ago about a last minute wedding video.

 

The wedding wasn’t last minute.  But their decision to have a videographer WAS a last minute decision.

 

I am just shooting, the bride says she is a professional video editor in Houston and will edit it herself. I was very happy to hear that and look forward to seeing what she does with the footage.

So off to Rancho Mirando I went. Mapquest got me there relatively easily. they wanted me at 2 ( even tho the ceremony wasnt until 6) and I there 3:45 ish.

Its been raining a LOT this week.  The ground was very damp. All day it seemed like rain would start up again.  Luckily, it didn’t.

I have had the couple hold a camcorder selfie style many times over the years. But I just now bought a selfie stick for a smart phone.

For all my expensive equipment….. my android phone of all things often gives me the best low light video shooting.

I also put the Samsung phone on a plastic tripod and “hid” it on the altar. It got an interesting camera angle of the couple kneeling on ritual pillows.

The lovely Hailee married the handsome Aundra, Thursday June 14, 2018 at the Chandelier of Gruene.

This is their  Wedding Video “best of” highlight reel.

I shot this with multiple Canon DSLR’s and video cameras. I also used as a go pro on a flying gimbal. It was edited by CLASSIC PHOTOGRAPHERS.

I am really proud of the bright colors captured with the Sunlight coming into their open air pavillion. I also really like the flying go pro on a gimbal footage.
